It Keeps Getting Worse
Whoever pulled this bullshit needs to go. Now. Because it's fairly obvious we are dealing with some class Alpha morons here.According to AMERICAblog, the CFO of Menu Foods dumped his stock less than three weeks before the shit hit the fan.
Even worse? Some of that tainted pet food is still on store shelves.
Wanna get really pissed off? Head on over to Shakesville.
Way to go, idiots. I'd slap the lot of you, but shit splatters.
I'm switching Sammy's food again. I'm going to look for organic dry cat food. I won't be buying Iams again. Not after this. It's pretty obvious that they cannot be trusted.

Way to Go, Asshats
You may have done this shit on purpose.
From CNN:
Contaminants that led to a massive recall of pet food could have been added intentionally, according to one theory being considered by the Food and Drug Administration.
"Somebody may have added melamine to the wheat gluten in order to increase what appears to be the protein level," the FDA's Stephen Sundlof told CNN on Friday.
Bravo. Way to go, you shits. Why would they do this? Simple answer: greed.
"Wheat gluten is a high-protein substance and by trying to artificially inflate the protein level, it could command a higher price. But that's just one theory at this point."
(Emphasis mine.)
Fuck this shit. I'll make my own damn cat food. It's brutally apparent I can't trust any of you fuckweeds.
--Weasel, pissed beyond words.

The Pet Food Recall
As most of you now know, there's been a huge pet food recall, affecting both cat and dog food. Usually, this sort of thing doesn't affect me.
Then, I read the newspaper this past Sunday. One of the recalled brands was Iams.
I occasionally give my cat a pouch of Iams wet food as a treat. Needless to say, I panicked.
Prime checked the remaining pouch of food we had in the pantry. It wasn't part of the recall. I dug out a pouch of chicken flavored food that I bought recently. Prime checked that one. With a serious look on his face, he told me to get the empty pouch of salmon we had fed Sammy two nights ago.
As it turned out, the salmon pouch was okay. The chicken was not; it was part of the tainted batch. I could have inadvertently fed Sammy something that could have sickened or killed him.
I pretty much lost it right then and there. I started crying. Prime managed to calm me down, but he was pretty upset, too. We were damned lucky. We dodged a potentially fatal bullet.
Sammy's fine, thank heavens. His appetite is great, he's full of energy, and just as goofy as ever.
The pouch went back to the store. I figure if I'm going to treat the cat to chicken, it'll be the real thing, not processed crap. I refuse to gamble with his health again.
